1/17-8:30AM LIL RED LIGHTHOUSE RUN
Although our trails may be sloppy with the remnants of winter, the NYC Greenway is as clean as Buc after a bath!
Join the pack for one of the most beautifully scenic runs in all of NYC! We will round at 8:30AM on January 17 at Le Pain Quotidien on W. 72nd St. between Central Park West and Columbus. From there we will head out to the Greenway and north towards the Little Red Lighthouse where we will turn and make our way back. Round trip is roughly 10 miles. Brunch to follow! See ya'll there!!
1/27 Tires 101-West End Fitness 63rd/West End Ave
You should be able to change your tires on the fly. Race day is not the time to figure out if you have a clincher or a tubular or how to use a CO2 cartridge!
Come out to West End Fitness on Wednesday, January 27 at 8:30PM immediately following the Drop In Swim. This is a free clinic and open to all Terriers! Get comfortable changing your tires now before you get stuck in an uncomfortable race situation!

Jordan D. Metzl, MD (a Terrier himself!) and Triathlete Magazine invite you to mark your calendars for "The 2nd Annual Amazing Night of Triathlon Education". One of the nations largest triathlon symposiums is located right here in NYC. This awesome educational event is chock full of some of the best speakers in the industry--including our very own pack leader, Robert Pennino! It is free and open to the public but it does require an RSVP!

NTS Wine Tasting and Pasita wine bar have teamed up to create a fun, informative evening pouring wines from Uruguay, Spain & Argentina strategically paired with hand-crafted gourmet pizzas – and a delicious late-harvest Uruguayan wine for dessert.
Wine expert Stefani Jackenthal, President of NTS Wine Tasting LLC, will give a brief wine tasting lesson and answer all questions as you sip and nibble from wine tasting stations set up around the room.

In an effort to make you all not only fit but health conscious as well, we are implementing a series called "Sweat n' Learn". This will take place on Sunday mornings following the long run. It will consist of a long run and then a 30 minute talk.

BRICK, BRUNCH, AND A LIL DOWN-DOG!
Join the Terriers for this terrific spring series!
When:
Saturday—March 27, April 17, May 22
Where:
Meet the Terrier-mobile on 72nd and 5th @ 8AM sharp for “drop off”
How it works:
-Ride your bike to the Terrier-Mobile for drop off. Drop off your running sneakers, gear, dry clothes, and anything else you may need post-ride.
-The advanced group will depart for a long ride to Rockland State Park-approximately 60 miles RT.
-The beginner group will head to Piermont-approximately 30 miles RT.
-All will meet back at the trailer post-ride for a quick transition into running gear. The group will then depart for their designated transition runs. Supervision will be available for your bikes while you run.
-There will be a 6 mile-full loop or a 4 mile-middle loop option.
-Following the Brick, the group will meet back at the Terrier-mobile for a boxed brunch. Fresh fruit, juice, granola, yogurt, and PB&J will be provided
-Following brunch, the group will be led in an extended yoga & stretch session in central park.
-Registration is open on the TTRI Store at

Seminar: ’Learn the Lingo of Triathlon’
VO2max...Anaerobic Threshold...Lactic Acid...These terms get thrown around a lot in the world of triathlon, but what do they really mean? And more importantly, how do they matter to my training and performance?
We will follow this 1 hour seminar with drinks at a local bar, TBD.

Tire Changing Clinic-West End Fitness, 75 West End Ave
Come learn how to change a tire (clincher or tubular) with the coaches of Terrier Tri and the mechanics o. Clinic is free and has limited space. Please rsvp to info@terriertri.com. Bring your bike and saddle bag with all your tire changing equipment. If you do not have equipment, you can buy at Toga.
Gear Swap
Whether you are new to the sport of triathlon or a veteran, you don't have to spend a small fortune on quality bikes, equipment, and clothing.
Please bring in any extra swimming, cycling or running equipment and clothing. From bikes, frames, clothing, shoes, goggles, parts, rollers, trainers, etc. Clear it out of your house and come barter! Sell, swap, give away...whatever you wish!
Sell that bike that no longer "turns your crank" and find one that does, or swap that cycling jersey that doesn't quite fit anymore for something different.

9/19 Syracuse 70.3, NY
Syracuse, New York will play host the 2010 Ironman 70.3 Series. The inaugural race will take place on Sunday, September 19, 2010 and will encompass a 1.2-mile swim, a 56-mile bike and a 13.1-mile run course through central New York.
Registration for Ironman 70.3 Syracuse will open on September 1, 2009, at 9 a.m. EDT. Athletes will be vying for total of 50 qualifying slots to the Foster Grant Ironman World Championship 70.3 held each November in Clearwater, FL. Ironman 70.3 Syracuse becomes the only Ironman 70.3 qualifier in a tri-state region of the NorthEast.
