Meet Your Coaches:
SARAH “Littlefoot” LITTLEFIELD
Sarah started her swimming career at age 11 and swam competitively through high school and at Emory University in Atlanta. While at Emory, Sarah earned All-Conference and All-American honors competing in the breaststroke events. Sarah started coaching at age 15, focusing on teaching basic technique of all four strokes to beginners of all ages. While in college and graduate school, Sarah continued to teach private and group lessons to swimmers of various abilities and ages.
MEGAN JONES
Megan swam for Bucknell University where she was a four-year varsity letter winner, received the Lewisburg Subway Award for athletic achievement on numerous occasions and was selected for the All Patriot League First Team. In the summer of 2005, after a four-year hiatus from swimming, Megan joined the New York Athletic Club swim team. In her first event representing the NYAC, Megan was part of a three-woman team, which took the 5K Open Water National Championship title in 2005 and placed second in 2006. Megan has 12+ years of coaching experience with adult triathletes, adult beginners, infants, and children of all ages. She is also awesome and there is no charge for awesome.
DAVID KANE
As a competitive swimmer for 30 years and triathlete for 20 years, Dave brings a wealth of experience to his terrier tri coaching. He’s seen (and performed) every competitive swim trick in the book including the Kelp Crawl, the Ankle-Shoulder Scramble Maneuver, and the One Legged Sinker. Dave can show you how to pants your competitors even if they’re wearing a wetsuit. He speaks Shark, and once explained to an attacking Great White that he would not taste nearly as good as that Sea Lion over there.
JAMES “Jaime” BARONE
James brings 20+ years competitive experience and 10+ years of coaching. He has competed at the highest levels of swimming and worked with some of the best swimmers and coaches in the world. James' unique style will help you get the most out of every work out, while learning new techniques along the way!
JULIA “Jules” MAVRODIN
Julia started her swim career at the age of 9 as a mediocre age group swimmer to become an All American varsity swimmer at Division III Emory University, where she helped the team win its first ever NCAA Championship in 2005 specializing in breaststroke and the individual medley. Julia's been coaching and teaching lessons to swimmers from beginner level to Ironman athletes since the age of 15, and today, brings her swimming experience to the pool by emphasizing easy to learn techniques for all levels. She realizes that not everyone grew up a "swimmer" and teaches that everyone can become comfortable and efficient in the water.
