4 Week Swim Program Begins 4/16/09

FORM AND ENDURANCE

Who & What the Program is Designed for

This four week swim program is designed to jump start your swimming training for the 2009 season. The program commences with a time trial which will gauge your general fitness and endurance. All skill levels are welcome. Thursdays will be coached endurance workouts emphasizing strength and speed and Sundays will be freestyle stroke intensives which will emphasize form and efficiency. Lectures will cover everything from dry land strength training to how to create your own swim workouts and training log.

What You Get

You will receive a weekly written training plan, pre-swim lectures and dry land workouts, and 8 coached swim sessions. The written training plan includes 4-6 days of "on your own" swim workouts. Strength exercises will also be incorporated into your weekly schedule.

5/3 Sunday - Swimming Downhill & Lengthening Your Vessel
5/7 Thursday - Endurance 3

Participation

Participation is limited to maximize attention for the participants in the program. We require a minimum enrollment of 10 members to put on the program in order to cover costs.

- All programs are limited in size and sign up is 1st come, 1st serve
